Good security practices on the Internet involve the creation of unique combinations of usernames and passwords. This allows you to isolate sites from one another in the event that a site is hacked and the hackers have your username and password combination.
Unfortunately creating different login credentials makes then difficult to remember, so you might occasionally need a reminder on what the password is that you have saved. If you have saved a password in Firefox, then our guide below will show you how to find it.
How to Locate the Passwords that You Have Saved for Web Pages in Firefox
These steps assume that you have already chosen to store a password in the Firefox browser. Following these steps will allow you to see what sites have saved passwords, plus you can choose to see what those passwords are. If you would like, you can also choose to delete those passwords.
Step 1: Open Firefox.
Step 2: Click the Open menu button at the top-right corner of the browser.
Step 3: Click the Options button.
Step 4: Click the Security tab at the left side of the window.
Step 5: Click the Saved Logins button.
Step 6: Click the Show Password button, then click the Yes button on the pop-up window to see the saved passwords for the Web pages in this list.
Note that anyone with access to Firefox can see this information.
